C'est dans un climat de controverse que l'Hollywood Foreign Press Association a dévoilé, ce dimanche 9 janvier, les gagnants de la 79e édition des Golden Globes.
Parmi les productions s'étant le plus illustrées, on note le plus récent long métrage de Jane Campion, The Power of the Dog, et le remake du classique West Side Story par Steven Spielberg (qui sont repartis tous deux avec trois statuettes), et King Richard, qui a valu à Will Smith le prix du Meilleur acteur.
Nommé dans trois catégories, dont Meilleur film et Meilleure réalisation, le Dune de Denis Villeneuve a remporté le Golden Globe de la Meilleure bande originale.
