There Will Be Blood, de Paul Thomas Anderson, repart pratiquement bredouille même si Daniel Day-Lewis a reçu le prix d'interprétation masculine. Le prix d'interprétation féminine est allé à Marion Cotillard pour son rôle dans La vie en rose.
