L'Académie chargée de la cérémonie des Oscars a annoncé hier quelles étaient les chansons présélectionnées en vue de la cérémonie de février prochain. Le gala, animé par Hugh Jackman, se tiendra au Kodak Theater de Los Angeles le dimanche 22 février prochain.
Pour être admissible, une chanson doit avoir été composée spécialement pour un film qui a pris l'affiche pendant au moins sept jours entre le 1er janvier et le 31 décembre 2008 dans la région de Los Angeles.
Trente-trois films sont représentés pour un total de 49 chansons. Plusieurs des ces films doivent encore prendre l'affiche au Québec. Il n'y peut y avoir plus de deux chansons tirées du même film en nomination, qui sont habituellement au nombre de cinq. Elles seront annoncées le 22 janvier. La comédie musicale High School Musical 3: Senior Year, a onze chansons en lice.
