The movie builds to a human-versus-alien showdown so sloppily staged that it makes little visual sense. The bargain-basement pyrotechnics suggest that much of The Watch was filmed on autopilot on a strict budget.

I laughed a few times, and I'm sure it's not a bad watch on Netflix on a rainy Sunday afternoon. At least the R-rating gives it a little raunch, although other than some brief nudity and scattered f-bombs, the rating seems to be mostly for gore, which is a waste. Overall, this isn't a really bad movie - rather, it's just a mediocre one.

Schaffer has yet to transition his creative eye to a feature-length effort, and those hoping The Watch finally was going to be his breakthrough comedy will be forced to keep waiting a little while longer.

They're funny guys, and their bud Seth Rogen helped write the script. And yet the laughs rarely come as the actors shout their lines as if the script were written in ALL CAPS.

It's not likely that a big-screen alien invasion has ever felt less urgent.

Alors oui, puisqu'il en faut un de temps en temps, Surveillance est le film à éviter au cinéma, vous pourrez toujours vous reprendre quand il passera au petit écran et vous ne serez pas en colère d'avoir dépensé de l'argent pour si peu de chose.

What is most disappointing is that so much comic talent is wasted in this generally humorless movie.
